Our Mission

The mission of St. Anthony Community Center is to serve children and families in South Dallas, by providing quality academic and arts education, social enrichment programs and services. Through the execution of our mission, the Center nurtures individual self-esteem and productivity, creating socially enlightened and responsible youth.

History

In 1995, with a major grant from the Crystal Charity Ball, St. Anthony Community Center was created to serve St. Anthony School and South Dallas community students during after school and weekend hours through education-based development programs.

Since 1998, the Center has surpassed the outreach challenge though year-round signature programs that emphasize the physical, intellectual and moral gifts of each child. This holistic approach has served over 1,770 children far exceeding the geographic boundaries of South Dallas. Our reputation for excellence has spread throughout the city with approximately 40% of the youth served coming from Oak Cliff, North Dallas and suburbs.
