Creative Minds was created to address the need for a safe, structured environment during after school hours.  We also understand that many parents are unable to pick-up their children promptly at 3:30 p.m. each day.

Our center combines responsible adult supervision with homework centers, enrichment programs and social activities.  Each student benefits from our Mission:

To Educate, Expose, Empower and, Equip children in the areas of academics, arts, literacy, enhancing their cognitive, physical and social development.

Program Activities

True to our mission we offer programs that stimulate each child in a variety of areas. Our program is more than just recreation and supervision, we give children an opportunity to explore their creativity and apply academics.  Some of the special instruction activities we  have offered include:

General Policies and Procedures

  • Program hours are 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Teachers will escort students to the Community Center Gymnasium where daily attendance is taken by after care leaders.

  • –All students will remain in the direct supervision of after care leaders until a parent, guardian or authorized person signs the students out.

  • Authorized persons (other than parents or guardians) must show a picture ID. 
Students divide into two groups:  Pre-Kindergarten  & Kindergarten and 1st Grade and Up.  This allows us to schedule activities according to each group’s needs.  Both groups are supervised by a team of professionals and adhere to a daily schedule of activities which include snack time, quiet/homework time, recreation and organized group activities. mission to promoting academic excellence in an environment of compassion, respect and moral values.
