SACC Children Featured in
Amazing Grace Dance Production

Amazing Grace is empowering our children to take ownership of their history, to connect with previous generations and to create a respectful dialogue about the past.

We want to share that experience with you.

For more than 30 years, the nonprofit Mahogany Dance Theatre of Texas and its dancers, have served communities as cultural storytellers and through the language of movement, have made the African-American experience accessible to all. Amazing Grace explores the struggles and triumphs within the Civil Rights movement.

Dr. Vann Gilbert, founder and artistic director, has introduced the children of St. Anthony Community Center to soul-stirring spirituals and gospel repertories. He also helped them catch the movement's fire.
